Reviews Here's what our lovely guests have to say....

My wife and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Nithbank for a couple of nights, we know Dumfries and Galloway from many years ago when we holidayed in the region when our children were small, this is a beautiful country house set in nice grounds with views over the river Nith.

Our room was very large with a comfortable king size bed with luxury bedding, tea and coffee making facilities, bottled water, sweets chocolates and biscuits, the breakfast was superb and set us up for the day.

Dumfries and Galloway is a beautiful part of Scotland with much to discover, we will certainly be going back in the summer.

Nithbank is the perfect place to relax and unwind and recharge your batteries.

It is a beautiful house with extremely comfortable rooms and a very warm welcome.  We can’t wait to return again soon.

Wow! …We had the most amazing time at our say in this spectacular house.
Mel and John you have certainly nailed it!

The attention to detail is breathtaking. I’ve stayed in so many beautiful places around the world, but to have this paradise to retreat to is a dream.

I will be back very soon I hope.

I wish you every success for the future and I know your future is bright.

Me and my boyfriend recently stayed at Nithbank House and had an excellent time.

Such a beautiful house in a beautiful setting. The gardens are gorgeous and if you like wildlife this is the place to see it.

The house is stunning with plenty of character. The room we stayed in was spacious, warm and very comfortable.

Melanie and John are the perfect hosts and extremely welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble for them.

We will definitely be returning in the summer for another visit to this wonderful house.

We had a wonderful stay – Melanie and John were lovely hosts, making us feel welcome before we even arrived.

The location is perfect for exploring the Dumfries and Galloway area as well as en route to other areas in Scotland.

From the fresh scones with Melanie’s spectacular homemade ginger rhubarb jam, to the scrumptious breakfast made with tasty local fare, and to the treats in the room – our stay was filled with delicious delights.

The room was so comfortable and peaceful – everything you want for a weekend away. It was absolute perfection – and we will definitely be staying here again.

Nithbank is beautifully presented, quiet and spotlessly clean.

We arrived to freshly baked scones and followed these with a walk through the garden and along the river.

In the morning we had an excellent breakfast. Our hosts were very friendly and welcoming.

We look forward to staying here again.

My husband and I visited Nithbank last year. It was the first time we had visited Scotland and it made us fall in love with the country.

Nithbank is set in the most beautiful of grounds. It is an absolutely stunning building full of original features that have been lovingly restored.

Mel and John are such lovely people and definitely made us feel at home there. The food was amazing, using a lot of home grown and local produce.

There are a vast amount of activities to do around Drumlanrig but we most enjoyed just watching all the busy wildlife and just spending time together in the manicured settings.

We are looking forward to planning our next visit there.
